Google To Add Status Updates To Gmail

According to The New York Times, popular e-mail service Gmail will soon incorporate Facebook and Twitter-like status updates for its users to customize.
Google has allowed Gmail to grow into a primary email service in a short time since introduction and is expected to make the Web site more social with the change, extending its potential for future growth.
