If this level of racism, by a minority radio commentator, was directed at white people there is no way in the world he would still be broadcasting. No way period! I don’t care what people say about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. I don’t care what videos of Louis Farrakhan that Fox News drags out and airs every hour on the hour. If America was really post-racial then this fool would not have an audience. As it stands, Limbaugh is one of the most successful talk show host in the nation. He is spewing this crap on more than 600 radio stations. And some estimate, he is reaching between 12 and 20 million people. So why do people tolerate this crap? It’s because they think he’s funny. His racism is shared by them. Only, THEY can’t say it because society has deemed being an unabashed racist as being poor taste. So they have this fat, oxycontin-addicted barf bag spewing it for them. I suppose its cathartic.

US Airways sued for “ghettoizing” its gates and employees.

 Here’s a little nugget for those of you who think this country has moved beyond its racist past.

A recent suit brought against US Airways by the NAACP on behalf of several black employees, claims the company forced them to work at less desirable gates. Mid-level managers and white employees, the suit claims, called these less desirable gates "Compton," "Camden," and "The Ghetto."

Kanye West is no doubt a little hyper and doesn't always exercise the best judgment but socially unaware is not something he inately is. Anyone remember, All Falls Down? I'd hoped he would continue on that same vein until he started rocking the mohawk, throwing tantrums and boasting about his good fortune after dropping out of college. Seems like he too is human and not at all above anything he preached against on his first album. And fame seems to be the defining and determining factor.

Back on Thanksgiving the brother was clearly trying to flee his abusive blonde wife when he wrecked his Cadillac SUV and messed up his pretty, philandering face. But instead of anyone questioning exactly what the Swiss-born Elin was doing with his 8-iron, all conversations and news reports turned to him: What the hell did he do to deserve it?

Rebranding racism for mass consumption in post-race America

 In post-race America, life can get confusing. Fox News anchor Glenn Beck, of all people, calls President Barack Obama a racist. Teabaggers are contemplating whether they should mimmick Black Americans and embrace the term much like Blacks have embraced the N-word. And the below anti-health care ad is running in the largely black Washington D.C. media area.

There is so much to say about this. First, there is the issue of black sensitivity. Are we so sensitive that we jump to racism when given half the chance? Well, that’s the argument I have been reading all morning. Are white folks really racist or just insensitive to the race issue? Or is this simply about picking fun at those in power, and really not caring about the fact that for the first time in history the most powerful man in this country and most notable family in this country happen to be black?
