    It is largely true that in entertainment, urban culture has been defined by black style, sound, and attitude. Urban culture is black culture, but it's rapidly being adopted by the growing Hispanic population that has translated those vibes into their own styles.

    It doesn't work the other way, though.

    Hollywood producers know that black-oriented programming will pull in a large number of Hispanics, but Hispanic projects cannot expect black support. Until now, this has hurt the number of Hispanic-oriented films and projects produced, but that could change soon as the number of blacks and Hispanics in this country shift.
